The Association celebrated Dashain and Tihar (Dipawali) in Manchester on Sunday, 23rd  October 2011.
 
The Charge d’ Affaires from the Embassy of Nepal Mrs Ambika Luintel attended the event as a chief guest. She extended her best wishes for the Dashain and Dipawali. She also applauded the good work of the Nepalese Association, Himalayan Yeti.
 
Those in attendance included Nepalese and British members from different parts of the country. They were entertained with dance and music performed by Manila Balami, Kamala Adhikari, Sita Dhimal, Tika Dhimal, Renu Adhikari, Tanbi Thapa, Prakash Shrestha, Suresh Shrestha, Tiyani Shrestha, Prasanta Shrestha and friends.
 
The Association President Puspa Shrestha welcomed the guests to the festive celebration and thanked organisers, participants, singers, musicians and dancers for their contribution to making the event a success.
 
Delicious Nepalese food was enjoyed by everyone. The food was provided by Mr & Mrs Raj Kumar and Sophie Shrestha from Himalayas Restaurant, Stockport Road, Manchester.
